Ruth - Digital
During the times of the Judges in Israel, Elimelech, Naomi, and their two sons fled from Bethlehem to the nation of Moab during a famine. Both sons married Moabite women, but Elimelech and his sons died in Moab. When a grieving Naomi left Moab to return to Bethlehem, her daughter-in-law Ruth was determined to go with her, embracing Naomi’s family, her nation, and her God. Ruth gleaned grain to support Naomi and herself and married Boaz, the owner of the field where she worked. Boaz became a kinsman-redeemer for Ruth and Naomi, just as Jesus Christ is a Kinsman-Redeemer for all who trust Him to save them. Boaz and Ruth are ancestors of King David and, after the flesh, ancestors of Christ. The account of Ruth is a reminder to us that God will save any person at any time who places true faith in Him.
