Each study of the Community Bible Series explores a specific book of the Bible and contains eight lessons, each with a syllabus that adds depth and clarity to the material. The lessons are flexible and can be divided into two sessions, which allows more time for discussion and personal sharing. The discussion time is a highlight for me and is valuable for Bible students at every level of experience.

I especially appreciate how the authors show continuity and consistency in the Bible by pointing to recurring themes and verses that appear in books throughout the Old and New Testaments.

The ladies Bible Study group I lead has been using the Community Bible Series curriculum for over 35 years because it

is so good! I haven't found a better one! If you want an in-depth, thoughtful study which gets you into the Word, this is definitely an excellent one to use. I like that it is flexible - we have a very large group of 20 - 30 ladies, so we only discuss half the questions each week, rather than all of them. We can have a more thorough discussion by doing that, and most appreciate having less "homework" to do each week as well. We learn a lot from each other, as well as the study.

The Syllabus included with each lesson is so informative, we discuss it as well. Usually as part of answering the questions, one uses much of the Bible for answers, not just that Book, thus finding complete consistency from beginning to end.

I can't recommend this curriculum highly enough - a great way to study God's Word, and grow spiritually by doing so.
