As summer draws to a close, we are entering one of the most beautiful seasons of the Pacific Northwest. Already the days are just a bit shorter and the evenings are a little cooler. Ecclesiastes 3:1 reminds us that
There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens
Living on a farm gives us a tangible understanding of how the activities of each season vary. Picking strawberries and making jam gave way to apples and apple sauce. As fall approaches, our grapes are beginning to ripen and it is almost grape-juice making time! All the fun that summer brings is harmonized with preparing for winter.
Our spiritual walks are much the same way. We have seasons full of blessings where it seems as if trials will never come. But even in times of plenty, we want to continue to spend time in prayer and the Word so that we can grow deep roots when the storms of life do come. And when the season of trial does come, we are prepared to endure, drawing on the Lord's strength. In all seasons, we have a Lord worthy of praise! Whether you are in a season of ease or trial, it is a perfect time to praise Him for who He is and what He does in our lives!
We pray, as the fall season approaches, that the Lord blesses you. No matter what season your spiritual walk is in, may you be encouraged by the reminder that
God is faithful, who has called you into
fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

Our Latest Study In the Wilderness
Skip and I have been working hard all summer to make more of our studies accessible online. We are delighted to announce that In the Wilderness is finished and available both in print and digital formats. This is a great study to learn about God's faithfulness and provision. If you are looking for a new study this fall, this is a great one to start with. We have several more that are almost complete and appreciate your prayers as we finish the final editing.
