Joshua into the Promised Land - Digital
View Sample Joshua led the Israelites as they crossed the parted waters of the Jordan River into Canaan. With God's enablement, they conquered the land, beginning at the walled city of Jericho. They overcame defeat at Ai, a setback caused by sin within the Israelite ranks. Then they moved through the center of the land, took the south, and then the north. The land was divided among the twelve tribes, and the people settled into the new nation. They listened to the Law as it was read to them, and the entire generation was faithful to God. Enemies remained, however, living within and around the land God promised them. This is a picture of our lives as Christians. God gives us victory, but we face enemies today, both within our hearts and in the world.
