In the Beginning - Digital
The first eleven chapters of the book of Genesis describe four foundational events on which the rest of the Bible and history is based. These events are Creation, the Fall, the Flood, and the Tower of Babel. Because God created humanity, we are responsible to Him. Because of the first sin, suffering and death came into the world. We are separated from God and need a Savior. When sin grew without restraint, it led to a world of anarchy and violence that God cleansed with a great flood and restrained by instituting human government. People then organized a world system to reach heaven by their own merits at the Tower of Babel. God limited the unity of the world system by causing people to speak different languages. This separation led to the establishment of the nations. This study examines these events, their effects in our present world, and the ways Christians understand them today.
